White Sox Manager Tony La Russa Pulls Out The “I’m A Hall A Famer, Brother” After Getting Arrested For Second DUI

-

Another day, another embarrassing headline for the White Sox.

Tony La Russa is all over the news for all the wrong reasons, as the new White Sox manager is facing possible jail time after he was charged with his second DUI earlier in 2020. ESPN’s Jeff Passan broke the story Monday night and now there’s a copy of the arrest report.

This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, as La Russa played a similar card when he was first charged with a DUI in 2007, during spring training in Florida with the Cardinals. The go-to for any famous person, “do you know who I am?”

But Tony put his own spin on the classic douchebag line telling police, “I’m a Hall of Famer, brother.”

What an entitled prick.

And for people still defending La Russa and saying no one should be dragging him through the mud for this, they’re right. Kind of. Tony has a problem. Maybe it is a drinking problem and if it is, he needs help. He also has a terrible issue using good judgement because you’d think that after his first DUI, when he said it wouldn’t happen again, that he’d make sure this wouldn’t happen again.

But no, instead La Russa decided to once again endanger not only his life but the lives of others. But good thing his buddy Jerry is there to enable him because instead of getting help, Tony’s going to be managing the White Sox in 2021.
