Nick Swisher only played one season for the White Sox and it was the last time the team made the postseason. However, despite being on that 2008 White Sox playoff team, fans absolutely hate that dude.
Swisher did have 24 home runs, but also put up a pedestrian .743 OPS and at the time a career worst .219 batting average that year. By September his playing time was cut and rumors quickly spread after the season that no one in that clubhouse liked him. There were even whispers that Swisher simply stopped listening to coaches as well.
Swisher was eventually traded in the offseason after just one season on the south side with three years left on his deal.
But no one hates Nick Swisher more than Ozzie Guillén and boy did he make that clear on NBC Sports Chicago Wednesday night.
