Lawyer Destroys Jerry Reinsdorf After Asinine Comments, Bob Nightengale Gets Dragged Too

-

You know what people absolutely love, especially during a pandemic that has caused so many to lose their job? Hearing or reading about billionaires losing money!

Ah, Jerry Reinsdorf has entered the chat and his best bud in the media, Bob Nightengale, was right there to lick boots and carry some water.

In this hilariously, awful piece of “journalism” Nightengale simply writes Reinsdorf’s asinine comments without providing context or you know, actual facts.

Some gems from the story include Jerry saying,
“I was concerned the union was maneuvering not to have a season.’’
“I don’t think the game was [best-] served by all of the acrimony.’’
“The two teams and the stadium all have expenses,’’ Reinsdorf says. “None have income.”

Reinsdorf also claimed that he’ll lose somewhere in the nine figures ($100 million+) because of sports shutting down.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to Eugene Freedman, a union lawyer who was a great follow the last few months as he broke things down for fans as MLB was trying(?) to negotiate with the MLBPA. Anyway, Freedman destroyed Reinsdorf in a 16-tweet thread and it is definitely worth your time.

This also included direct shots at Nightengale’s reporting or lack thereof.

Oh and in case you forgot!

It’s OK, Jerry, you’ll be fine. Meanwhile, let us play something for you.
