Listen, if you show up to any ballpark where your team isn’t playing, draped in your team’s gear, of course, you’re trying to bring attention to yourself. That’s especially true if you’re a Chicago Cubs fan who decides to go to the South Side to a White Sox game decked out in a Cubs jersey. It was the perfect storm on Friday night, when a fight broke out in the bleachers at Rate Field, where the White Sox opened up a weekend series against the Seattle Mariners, and apparently, a group of Cubs fans started the scuffle in the outfield seats.
The thing is, no one has to actually act like an asshole at games, whether it is someone showing up with a jersey of a team that isn’t even playing, or fans at the home stadium. You bet there had to have been shit-talking, but that doesn’t mean it has to escalate into a fight.
This type of behavior is bullshit.
Take that shit somewhere else.

This time, it was the Cubs fans acting like the major douchebags, according to multiple accounts. A bad look for the fan base. But also, let’s not sit here and pretend this doesn’t happen with White Sox fans and fans across the country. It’s all the same, though, pathetic macho bullshit that ends with dudes not even knowing how to throw a punch.
