Tons of content is coming from the 10-year Chicago Cubs World Series reunion festivities that happened this past weekend, but the most viral video coming out of Wrigley Field has nothing to do with anyone playing. A Cubs fan has fired up the internet after being seen smacking another fan on the head, upset that the fan sitting down wasn’t standing for the national anthem.
The two men had some words, and it was loud enough that the others around them turned to see what the commotion was about, and then the older man smacked the younger man.
Quick advice, and something more people should think about: simply, mind your own business. That guy sitting down while the anthem was being sung wasn’t bothering anyone around him, and suddenly he not only gets harassed, but he’s assaulted.
For the red-blooded Americans cheering for this, what happened to all your love for freedom? That guy, or anyone, who doesn’t want to stand for the national anthem is 100% in their right not to, and it should not lead to getting smacked by anyone else.

But even if you want to make the argument that it is disrespectful for an American to sit during the national anthem, how the hell does that guy who was so upset even know with 100% certainty that the other guy sitting down is American? Why would he stand for another country’s anthem? Take a look at the players on the field; less than half the team is lining up for the anthem, because guess what, it isn’t all that important.
