Passan is reporting the deal is worth $27 million.

The White Sox have already made a few moves to improve their bullpen. They traded for Álex Colomé and then signed free agent Kelvin Herrera.

In 2018, Ottavino had a 2.43 ERA and 0.99 WHIP in 77.2 innings with the Rockies. The righty has nasty stuff, striking out 112 batters in his 75 appearances.

The 33-year-old has a career 3.68 ERA, pitching all of 22.1 innings without the Colorado. He made his MLB debut with the Cardinals in 2010, when he started three times and came out of the bullpen two other occasions.

The Yankees also signed left-handed reliever Zach Britton earlier in the offseason. He signed a three year contract as well that will pay him $39 million.
