Tim Anderson Brings All The Swag Back After The Birth Of His Second Child

-

Tim Anderson returned to the White Sox lineup for the home opener on Friday and brought all the swagger with him. After being with his wife Bria for the birth of their daughter Paxton, Anderson came back and went 3-for-4, with 3 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He put the game away in the eighth, hitting his first homer of the season, giving the White Sox a 10-8 lead, which was the final on Friday.

And a little 360 to put the cherry on top.

Yet, the biggest play of the game from Anderson didn’t even come when he was at the plate. Trailing 8-6 in the seventh inning, Anderson was at first base and Leury Garcia was at second with no outs. Jose Abreu hit a slow ground ball to the left side, but Anderson got a tremendous jump from first and slid in safely at second to avoid the force out. On the play, the Mariners failed to get any outs and that loaded the bases.

Welington Castillo was then hit by a pitch to make it 8-7 and then Yoan Moncada kept his hot start going, putting the Sox ahead with a two-run single.

Moncada had 4 RBIs Friday and has 10 through the first six games of the season. He’s only the seventh player in White Sox history to reach 10 RBIs in the first six games of the year.

Some pretty good company right there.

Anderson also found himself in elite company with his performance.

The White Sox are now 3-3 after winning two games in a row.
