Everybody in the sports world loves drama. Especially when it’s off the field. One franchise that has become beset by it almost constantly is the Jacksonville Jaguars. A team that was in the AFC championship in January of 2018 is now in the midst of a complete rebuild with several of its star players forcing their way out of town via trades. Jalen Ramsey, A.J. Bouye, and Calais Campbell are already gone. Now it seems star pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue is trying to do the same.

Only he’s being way more vocal about it. WAY more vocal.

Since the start of the offseason, Ngakoue has voiced his desired to leave on Twitter almost constantly. Those calls have gotten more and more abrasive as the months pass. Now with the NFL draft closing in, it appears he went for broke by openly attacking team owner Tony Khan over supposed shady dealings. To the surprise of many, Khan fired back in kind. This led to one of the most incredible exchanges between a player and owner football fans have seen.

Yannick Ngakoue is clearly bitter and not smart either

It’s obvious that Ngakoue feels he’s been mistreated in Jacksonville. That may or may not be the case. He is perfectly within his right to feel bitter about that. However, his conduct is not doing him any favors. Insulting the owner of the team, the man who ultimately signs off on whether he gets traded feels like a bad move. Khan isn’t wrong either. Ngakoue’s pushing and public complaining isn’t going to help his trade value and it’s clear the Jaguars have no intention of giving him away.

At this rate, the team might just leave him tagged with a simple ultimatum. Either play for us or sit out the upcoming season. Similar to what happened with Le’Veon Bell and the Pittsburgh Steelers. That didn’t end up going too well for Bell in the long-run. Ngakoue would’ve been so much better served just keeping his mouth shut. Now teams are wary of whether he’ll cause similar problems with them. So he’s stuck.
