PETE CROW-ARMSTRONG HITS WALK-OFF HOME RUN TO BEAT THE WHITE SOX

-

Holy fucking shit they pitched to him??? The White Sox pitched to Pete Crow-Armstrong with a base open in the 10th inning????? THANK YOU WILL VENABLE!

The Cubs MVP started the night with a leadoff home run and he ended the night with a walk-off to beat the White Sox in dramatic fashion. I still can’t believe it. His run meant nothing after the White Sox couldn’t score in the 10th, leaving the bases loaded, and going hitless after having runners at first and second with no outs.

You cannot say that the White Sox made the right choice by choosing to have Hagen Smith pitch to Crow-Armstrong because the Cubs center fielder has been crushing left-handed pitching all season long. The White Sox bullpen has been depleted, so there weren’t many good options after Luis Castillo failed to go five innings.

It worked in the Cubs’ favor, as they tied it in the ninth inning on a Nico Hoerner base hit to center field. It was shaping out to be an annoying night for the Cubs, who were 3-for-15 with runners in scoring position before Crow-Armstrong’s walk-off home run in the 10th.

That’s MVP shit right there. By the way, Crow-Armstrong went 4-for-5, and was a triple short of hitting for another cycle, but we’ll take the walk-off home run every time.
