During Saturday’s game against the Colorado Rockies, Bellinger stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded in the third inning and deposited a two-run double, as his hard-hit smash hopped over the right field wall. Right after Bellinger made contact, Lilly, who was on the call with Pat Hughes, let out a clear moan, approving of Bellinger’s big hit.
Hughes was slightly caught off guard, as he began his call of the double a few seconds late.
A good lefty stroke will do that to anyone.
