Watch Brian Urlacher and George Kittle Trash Each Other Over Popcorn

-

George Kittle is a Pro Bowl tight end for the San Francisco 49ers. Brian Urlacher is a Hall of Fame middle linebacker for the Chicago Bears. One wouldn’t think the two have anything in common. As it turns out though, that is far from the truth. The two had a chance to meet, bond, and jab each other while watching highlights from their careers and it was a world of fun and hilarity.

Believe it or not, Urlacher is a major idol of Kittle. This shouldn’t be a big surprise. The tight end was born in Madison, Wisconsin. So he watched the linebacker play with the Bears against the Green Bay Packers twice a year. No doubt he grew up wanting to play defense too but it soon became apparent the kid had a knack for making plays on offense. As they went over some of his recent highlights for the 49ers, Kittle couldn’t resist asking how Urlacher might’ve defended him on a certain play.

Ever the competitor, the linebacker made it clear he’d have been in the tight end’s hip pocket all the way. Kittle later said that he was at the infamous wind-swept game against San Francisco in 2005 where Nathan Vasher had his then-record 108-yard return for a touchdown on a missed field goal. He was way up on the top deck.

Urlacher, as only he can, joked, “You should’ve texted me. I’d have got you tickets.” Kittle then looked deadpan at the camera in frustration.

Brian Urlacher and Kittle are both huge wrestling fans

One thing both men have in common is a love for professional wrestling. Urlacher made public appearances for both the WWE and TNA Impact during his career, even getting into the ring at one point. Kittle did as well, but for a smaller independent promotion where he got to emulate his all-time favorite wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin by delivering his trademark Stunner. The highlights from both of those are solid gold.

If only those two got to play together at the same time. It would’ve been loads of fun to watch.
