Dylan Cease struck out 11 and allowed one hit in seven shutout innings against the Angels on Monday, leading the White Sox to a 3-0 win that split the four-game series in Chicago.
Cease was masterful against the Angels, throwing a total of 93 pitches, 64 for strikes in his seven innings of work. The only base runners to reach against Cease were Taylor Ward, who doubled in the fourth inning and Tyler Wade, who was hit by a pitch in the sixth.
Cease also became just the second White Sox pitcher to strike out Mike Trout three times in a game.
