Well, this is simply awful. Anthony Rizzo left Sunday’s game with a nasty foot injury, as he came in to field a bunt in the third inning.
It looks like an ankle injury and hopefully that’s all it is for Rizzo, who stayed on the ground for several minutes before he was helped off.
You hate to speculate, but that looks like a season-ending injury for the Cubs first baseman.
