Outfielder Nick Castellanos and utility man Tony Kemp are both in tonight’s lineup against the Cardinals, as the Cubs try and take sole possession of first place in the division.
Castellanos will bat second, starting in right field, while Jason Heyward moves over to center. Heyward remains at leadoff. Meanwhile, Kemp gets the nod at second and he’ll hit eighth behind Jon Lester.
The only complaint is that Castellanos has .308 OBP against right-handed pitchers. Maybe move him down in the order.
Overall in 2019, Castellanos has posted a .357 OBP batting second.
