Yu Darvish struck out eight, walked none, but left in the sixth inning after the Giants hit back-to-back home runs to tie the Cubs at seven. Yup, Wednesday night’s game was wild. After that there were four lead changes, as both bullpens couldn’t lock things down until Brandon Kintzler and Craig Kimbrel pitched scoreless eighth and ninth innings.

After the Giants took a 11-10 lead in the eighth, Nick Castellanos leadoff the bottom of the inning with an infield single, his fourth hit of the game. He hustled out of the batter’s box and barely beat out a throw after a slow grounder up the middle.

That brought Kris Bryant up to the plate.

What made Bryant’s game-winning home run even better? Take a look at Castellanos running the bases.

What an awesome win and an awesome reaction by Castellanos, who by the way homered for the third straight game.

Kimbrel pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for his second save in as many days. The Cubs are back alone in first place after the Cardinals lost 5-3 to the Brewers.
