MICHAEL BUSCH DID IT AGAIN!

-

Follow our new Twitter account for real-time updates and in-depth analysis of all things Chicago Cubs.

Michael Busch is not human. Five games in a row now with a home run and the Chicago Cubs are going to need a lot of that and more from everyone else in the lineup after the loss of Seiya Suzuki, who will be out for a while because of an oblique strain.

Busch became the first Cubs rookie to hit a home run in four straight games and now he keeps adding to his own record, as he blasted a solo home run in the second inning of Monday’s series opener against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

And how about this other fun fact, Busch is now up to six home runs this season and all have come with two strikes. Incredible. The rookie is carrying the Cubs offense on this road trip and has been the best hitter by far from the very start of the season.

What’s most impressive is that he did it outside of the Friendly Confines. While the ball travels well in AZ sometimes, the dimensions are built for it and he still hit it 419ft.

Rock on, Michael.
