Mallee was the Cubs hitting coach from 2015-17.
Sooo, Manuel returns to the dugout after last managing the Phillies from 2005-2013. Manuel had been working as an advisor to the Phillies GM.
The Cubs start a three-game series against the Phillies tonight.
