Cubs starter Cole Hamels warmed up for the second inning, but after a few practice pitches he walked off the field and headed to clubhouse.
Hamels was throwing about 91mph, down from what he usually throws.
Mike Montgomery replaced Hamels.

The Cubs say Hamels felt something on his side.
The good news is that at least it’s not arm related.
