Exactly what the Cubs needed, another injured reliever!
Brandon Kintzler has been awesome this year after falling off a cliff in 2018, following his trade from the Nationals. Despite a couple bad outings, he’s been the most consistent reliever in the Cubs bullpen in 2019, but now he’s heading to the injured list with a pec issue.
Pedro Strop, who’s struggled all season long and has seen his fastball velocity dip to 92-93mph, is back from his made up neck injury.
This comes one day after Craig Kimbrel was placed on the injured list with right knee inflammation, though the Cubs and Kimbrel expect him to only miss the minimum 10 days.

Oh and by the way, Steve Cishek has been pretty shaky lately.
At least with Kintzler and Kimbrel, the Cubs seem to actually be taking the proactive route and not waiting until things get worse.
Come on down, David Phelps! Or anyone, please step up.
