Cubs Offense Is Broken And So Is Their Plane

-

The Cubs started their three-city, nine-game road trip with a two game lead in the division and after a 3-6 record they’re now one game back of the Cardinals. They only managed one hit against the Cardinals Thursday night, losing 8-0, scoring a grand total of three runs in the series. In the nine games, they scored 31 runs, 11 coming against the Brewers last Sunday.

Why? All the good hitters went cold on the road.

Plain and simple. Getting Tony Kemp and Nick Castellanos were nice additions to upgrade the overall depth of the roster, but if the main guys aren’t going to turn it around then the Cubs aren’t going to win.

Anyway, the Cubs are back at Wrigley Field this weekend to play the Brewers, but getting back to Chicago was somewhat of a shitshow last night.

Don’t really get why MLB doesn’t just schedule afternoon games on getaway days, but whatever, focus on pace of play or other nonsense.

Still, how poetic for the Cubs. Nothing seems to be working for them lately.

The offense, the plane and even the clock on the scoreboard.
