Steve Cishek blew the save in the ninth inning, but in the 11th Jason Heyward hit a walk-off home run to give the Cubs a 3-2 win over the Marlins.

It’s the second straight walk-off home run for the Cubs, as Kris Bryant launched a three-run homer Tuesday night.

It’s the first time the Cubs have hit consecutive walk-off home runs since 1998, when Orlando Merced and Mark Grace did it.

Kyle Hendricks pitched another great game, going eight innings and giving up only five hits, with two unearned runs. Yet, Joe Maddon pinch hit for him and the Cubs bullpen eventually blew it in the ninth after Cishek gave up the game-tying run on a ground ball with runners at second and third.

Runners were at first and second with only one out in the ninth, but Cishek threw a wild pitch to let the runners advance. A grounder then tied the game.

But Heyward’s sixth home run of the season won it for the Cubs. The four-game series ends on Thursday afternoon.
