Cubs Fans Are Roasting Zach Zaidman For His Seiya Suzuki Home Run Call

Zach Zaidman joined the Cubs radio team in 2018 and well, the majority of fans still haven’t warmed up to the former Bears sideline reporter. Zaidman will fill in for beloved Cubs play-by-play man Pat Hughes in the fifth inning and boy did Zaidman not help his cause when calling Seiya Suzuki’s first home run against the Pirates on Tuesday.

This, this was bad.

It is obviously unfair to compare the two, but c’mon, remember Pat’s call on Suzuki’s first home run with the Cubs on Sunday?

I kind of feel bad for Zaidman because he does have to fill in for one of the best voices in the game and in turn he gets tons of hate. Yet, Zaidman just hasn’t been good when he does have to do play-by-play, so the criticisms are warranted.
