Willson Contreras did more drills on Thursday before the Cubs wrap up their three-game series against the Mets and so far it looks like his rehab from a strained hamstring is going to plan.
The Cubs catcher is headed to Iowa and will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A on Friday.
The first step for Contreras will be catching a few innings Friday, as he last played on Aug. 3, against the Brewers.
Great news for Contreras and the Cubs.
