Ex-Cubs bench coach Brandon Hyde was a hot candidate this past offseason, when a handful of manager positions were open. He was a finalist for the job in Minnesota, but ultimately Hyde took his first job as a manager with the Orioles. Not exactly the best situation to begin your managerial career and things didn’t get much better Wednesday night, when Chris Davis tried to fight Hyde in the dugout.
Davis had to be restrained by a coach and Mark Trumbo.
The Orioles lost 14-2 to the Yankees, dropping their record to 38-76.
Brandon Hyde has gone through much happier times.
