Braves Announcer Jeff Francoeur Says He Wishes He Would’ve Punched Willson Contreras In 2016

-

Back in 2016, Cubs catcher Willson Contreras and then Braves player Jeff Francoeur got into an argument in the ninth inning of a game at Wrigley Field. The benches emptied, but it’s baseball, so nothing actually happened beyond some more shouting.

And then this happened Monday night.

Contreras explained what set him off even before he hit the home run.

And Flowers also had some dumbass thoughts following the 8-3 Cubs win.

So, after all that, Francoeur, who’s an announcer for the Braves now, apparently said that during his incident with Contreras in 2016, he wished he would’ve thrown a punch. Big fucking tough guy over here.

Contreras responded to those comments.

Also, please let this happen. Make someone’s day, Jeff.
