Insider Who Broke Tom Brady News Reveals Who Bears Will Get

-

Chris Simms might be laughed at by some for his connections in the NFL. Except why wouldn’t he be well-connected. For one, he’s actually played in the league. His father is a former Super Bowl champion and New York Giants legend. If that weren’t enough, he is reportedly good friends with coaches around the league including Kyle Shahanan. This would explain his breaking news story regarding Tom Brady that could involve the Chicago Bears.

Simms reported that the San Francisco 49ers, who were rumored to be considering a run at the 42-year old have since pulled out of the race. They are sticking with Jimmy Garoppolo. This report was soon backed up by others as legitimate. His belief is it’s down to two teams in Tampa Bay and New England with the Patriots having the edge.

If his sources gave him that, it’s curious to wonder what else Simms might know. That’s why it was interesting when Sunday Night Football revealed via their Twitter that Simms predicted the likely landing spot for each top free agent quarterback left un-signed. His choice for the Bears is probably not one fans will expect.

Could Tom Brady push Bridgewater to Chicago?

Bridgewater is a fascinating name in this entire process. Many people seem to think he’s going to command big money. As much as $30 million per year. Others think his track record will actually place it closer to $20 million. If it’s the latter, that would be something at least feasible for Chicago. Bridgewater showed he could be an effective and efficient guy under center last season, going 5-0 with the New Orleans Saints in relief of Drew Brees.

If Brady were to somehow head to Tampa Bay, that would eliminate a popular landing spot for him. The Patriots aren’t likely to pay him significant money.

Then there is the understated part of this idea. Ryan Pace. People should not forget he has strong ties to the Saints organization. He’s well connected with all the top guys there from GM Mickey Loomis to head coach Sean Payton. It wouldn’t be at all shocking if he used their knowledge of Bridgewater over the past two years to get a firm gauge on what it might take to lure him to Chicago.

Nobody can say Simms’ prediction is based on rock-solid evidence, but it’s definitely something worth noting since almost nobody else has made the same claim.
