Kyle Schwarber missed six months of baseball after a horrific injury to his leg, but he came back and helped the Chicago Cubs win the 2016 World Series. Despite that, this might be my favorite Kyle Schwarber story. He’s hit a car windshield before, but during this year’s spring training, Schwarber apparently hit a horse’s ass with a home run. Yes, I know. Mesmerizing.
The clydesdale named Andy wasn’t fazed by getting hit, so after the handlers found out who hit the ball they decided to give Schwarber one of Andy’s shoes. Schwarber now takes it everywhere, hoping it gives him some luck.
This has Schwarber written all over it.

So far so good with the lucky horseshoe, as Schwarber went 2-for-3, with a double and a walk against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The good news is Schwarber somehow didn’t kill that horse. Andy, ass of steel.
