REPORT: MLB And Union Close To Agreeing On Deal

UPDATE

So, it’s close, but obviously no deal has been agreed upon just yet/

MLB has sent a new proposal to the union. Heard no deal yet.

Source says no deal is close yet between MLB and MLBPA beccause the proposal was just sent by MLB. No agreement even in principle at this point.

HOWEVA! It sure does seem like it’s going to be a done deal because the union won’t go forward with its grievance against the league according to Jon Heyman.

So, still have to wait for the details, but we’re getting MLB in 2020 with expanded playoffs and the players actually get paid what the owners agreed to back in March.

And it pretty much makes you think that the only thing being negotiated now is the amount of games for the regular season. That’s why we’ve seen that a deal is close, but certainly not done as of yet.
