I’m not sure why I picked a street fight because the only reason this was brought up in the first place was after a report that the Seattle Mariners had a scuffle in their clubhouse and the Detroit Tigers had to send their TV announcers home after they got into a physical altercation this week. Neither of those were street fights, but for the sake of this discussion it is.
So, on this week’s episode of the Pinwheels and Ivy Podcast, we each drafted four players (well Matt Enuco “Nuke” had a surprise) from the Cubs and White Sox who we’d want on our side during a street fight.
I got the first pick and the choice was obvious.

We each picked 4 guys from the #Cubs and #WhiteSox who we'd want on our side in a street fight. Kyle Schwarber was the consensus 1st overall pick, obviously.

If you pick someone other than Kyle Schwarber first then you’re wrong. I’m sorry. Facts are facts. Schwarber is first by a lot.
Anyway, here were the final results.
Aldo (Me) – Kyle Schwarber, Willson Contreras, Eloy Jimenez, Javier Baez
Nuke – Daniel Palka, Juan Minaya, Don Cooper, Anthony Rizzo
Zo – Yolmer Sanchez, Daniel Murphy, Pedro Strop, Tim Anderson
I mean, if we’re being objective here, I clearly won this.
Nuke picked Don Cooper third and he was spot on when he said that Cooper would be the one to start the fight. Anyway, his squad wins the award for best group of guys to go out and have a beer with.
Zo, you’re a distant second behind me.
