The White Sox will be extending protective netting at Guaranteed Rate Field from foul pole to foul pole.
Last year all 30 MLB teams were required to extend the protective netting to the end of their dugouts. However, any further netting was up to the individual teams.
The official announcement will be made later today. The White Sox are the first team to extend the protective netting all the way to the foul poles.
