Charlotte Knights Prospect Report: Prospects Making Their Case For A Call-Up

-

Despite the White Sox having one of the worst records in the league again in 2025, they look like a much better baseball team compared to last year, as there have been plenty of close games that could have gone either way.

This leads fans to look into the minor leagues for success stories of players who may be joining the team in Chicago when they are in their window for contention. We take a look at the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, the Charlotte Knights, and see who has been playing well over the last month, as these players could be on the move to the White Sox sooner rather than later.

Brooks Baldwin

While his major league career has been up and down so far, Brooks Baldwin has been one of the best hitters in all of AAA, as he has been on a tear since being sent down. In 25 games with the Knights, he is hitting .380 with 10 homeruns, 20 RBIs, and three stolen bases. He’s added five doubles and two triples to go along with that.

Baldwin also has a .446 OBP and an absurd .770 slugging percentage. He has been putting up video game numbers since being sent down and at this point it is only a matter of time before he returns to Chicago.

While his numbers in Chicago have been nothing like what he is doing in AAA, he only has 247 MLB at-bats under his belt, so there is still plenty of room for him to develop and adjust to major league pitching. After the roster overhaul at the deadline, look for Baldwin to get consistent at-bats somewhere in the lineup for Chicago.

Dominic Fletcher

Dominic Fletcher continues to have a very good season for the Knights, as he has hit .262 with three homeruns and nine RBIs in the month of June. This adds to an already very good season, as he is hitting .260 with 10 homeruns and 35 RBIs overall on the season.

Since Fletcher was DFA’d over the offseason, he currently isn’t on the 40-man roster. With the White Sox looking to trade many, if not all of their outfielders at the deadline, Fletcher could see himself get some significant playing time in Chicago come August.

Fletcher didn’t have a great stint with Chicago last season, but with his solid season in Charlotte, it is likely he made some adjustments in the offseason, as he has hit for significantly more power this year. Fletcher still only has 316 MLB at-bats, so there is a chance he can still figure it out and be a productive player at the MLB level.

While there won’t be much movement prior to the trading deadline, I would expect a ton of players from the Knights to make their way to the White Sox in August if the deadline is as busy as anticipated.
