Charlotte Knights Hitters Are Making A Strong Case For A Promotion

-

Despite the White Sox having one of the worst records in the league in 2025, they look like a much better baseball team compared to last year, as there have been plenty of close games that could have gone either way.

This leads fans to look into the minor leagues for success stories of players who may be joining the team in Chicago when they are in their window for contention. We take a look at the AAA affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, the Charlotte Knights, and see who has been playing well to start the season, as these players could be on the move to Chicago sooner rather than later.

Kyle Teel

Teel was the headliner in the Garrett Crochet deal and is regarded as one of the best catching prospects in all of baseball. Through 46 games that looks like that is the case, as Teel has gotten off to a great start.

Teel is hitting .287 with a fantastic .390 OBP and a .479 slugging percentage.

On top of that he’s added seven homeruns, which is tied for second on the team. Teel also leads the team in RBIs and walks taken, as he has walked 28 times.

Teel was just in the midst of a 19-game hitting streak and was hitting everything in sight. You could not have asked for a better start to his White Sox organizational career and he should be up in the big leagues sooner rather than later.

Corey Julks

Julks has arguably been the best hitter on the team in Charlotte, as he is hitting .340 with a .422 OBP and a .546 slugging percentage over 43 games.

Julks has added four homeruns, 25 RBIs, and 6 stolen bases, which all rank among the best on the Knights roster.

This is great to see, as Julks had an extended look in Chicago last season where he started off hot. Unfortunately for Julks, the White Sox have six outfielders on their roster as of right now so there isn’t much playing time in Chicago to reward him for his great start to the season.

However, since it is very likely that the White Sox trade most, if not all of those outfielders, there is a high probability that Julks will be called up post trade deadline to get some playing time in the outfield.

Dominic Fletcher

Fletcher is in a similar situation to Julks, as he got a decent amount of playing time in Chicago last season but is now stuck behind the six outfielders on the roster in Chicago.

Fletcher also has started the season off on the right foot, as he is hitting .254 with a .344 OBP.

He’s also added seven homeruns, 25 RBIs, and three stolen bases.

Unfortunately for Fletcher, he’s in the same boat as Julks, as there is no current playing time in the outfield in Chicago, but post deadline he will likely find his way back up to Chicago to get a nice run for the rest of the season.

The Knights have had some great performances with the bat this season and we will likely see all of these guys in Chicago at some point.
