A.J. Pierzynski Does Not Want The White Sox To Go After Manny Machado For One Big Reason

-

Chalk up former fan favorite A.J. Pierzynski as a guy who doesn’t want the White Sox to sign Manny Machado this off-season.

This might come as a surprise to some. A.J. and Manny both have similar styles in the fact that both are perceived as the villain more often than not. Both players have received their fair share of “boo’s” throughout their career. So why doesn’t A.J. want Machado on the White Sox?

It doesn’t have to do with his history of dirty plays, but instead the fact that Machado openly said that he doesn’t hustle every game.

Listen, there are players on every team that don’t hustle and give it their all 100% of the time. That’s almost impossible to do over a 162 game season. But A.J. does still have a point. If you don’t hustle, don’t just go out after a game and openly tell the media that. It’s a bad look for him in the eyes of the public and the teams who will look to sign him this winter. Don’t get me wrong, I still want Machado on the White Sox, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. He’s a top 5 player in all of baseball and can win baseball games by himself. That doesn’t seem to matter to A.J. though. In time we’ll see just how much Machado’s comments matter to the White Sox front office as well.
