Schwarber appears to be moving around pretty nicely throughout the two-minute video. He even gets a few pointers from Jon Jay (the guy in the red winter hat) at one point in the video which is good to see the veteran center fielder already making his presence known in Mesa.
It’s great to see the War Bear rumbling around left field but this is kind of the equivalent to watching Jason Heyward take BP swings.
It’s really hard to see how everything will work together until we see some live game action (hell, even a Spring Training game would help.)
Just a few days ago, Schwarber was on the Rich Eisen show talking about how he wouldn’t mind catching if the opportunity presented itself but he shared that the Cubs front office, along with the advice of the team doctors, would make the decision as to where Schwarber will play this year.
