PCA Said He’d Come to a Fan’s Graduation for 100K Likes. The Video Just Doubled It.

Pete Crow-Armstrong showed up to Thursday night’s Chicago Bears game at Soldier Field to support Caleb Williams, and he also made a fan’s dream come true. PCA, the soon-to-be National League MVP, was approached pregame by a Bears fan who didn’t let the chance pass without asking the Chicago Cubs star what it would take to get him to attend his graduation.

PCA Said He’d Come to a Fan’s Graduation for 100K Likes. The Video Just Doubled It.

The Chicago Cubs may have been eliminated quickly from this year’s postseason, but that doesn’t mean PCA has to stew in the disappointment 24/7 in the offseason. It was great to see him on the sidelines, and even better that he gave this kid a chance to go viral for something good.

PCA challenged TikTok user siah3xx._ to get at least 100K likes on his uploaded video, and if he did, the Cubs outfielder agreed to attend his graduation. Well, Crow-Armstrong severely underestimated his own popularity because the video hit 100K likes in a day.

By Saturday night, there are nearly 1 million views on the video, which has also more than doubled the original challenge from PCA with more than 200K likes.

PCA is great for Chicago. An unbelievable talent on the baseball field. He’s an educated, thoughtful voice in the media, but he isn’t afraid to make mistakes and always takes accountability for his actions.

That said, will PCA even make it to this fan’s graduation? Looking ahead to next season’s Cubs schedule, they will be at Wrigley Field from May 21-27 before heading on a six-game road trip. According to the fan’s TikTok page, he attends Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park High School, which has not yet announced its graduation date. Last school year, it was May 27.

One problem though. The MLB lockout is ominously approaching this winter, and it could shift the schedule. That means PCA and the Cubs won’t necessarily be in Chicago in late May, depending on how long the lockout lasts and whether the league adjusts the schedule.

Let’s hope for the best. This was a pretty cool story from Chicago.
