Kris Bryant’s Knee Is Still A Big Problem For The Cubs

-

After July 24th’s game against the Giants, Kris Bryant a .967 OPS and looked to be on track to once again lead the Cubs into the postseason. But then something happened to his knee, the Cubs didn’t do much to address the injury and now with three weeks left in the season Bryant has obviously been impacted by the injury and the team’s postseason hopes are in serious doubts.

That’s what happens when your best player all of a sudden gets injured and turns into a bad hitter. Since July 24, Bryant has a .226/.307/.372 slash line, dropping his season OPS to .889.

The Cubs have tried giving Bryant a few more days off in the past couple weeks, but it’s probably too late. The knee is severely bothering Bryant, who is once again out of the Cubs lineup Sunday.

After Saturday night’s 3-2 loss, Bryant went to Joe Maddon and said he couldn’t go on Sunday because of the knee.
