Joe Maddon Will Not Return As Cubs Manager

After five seasons with the Cubs, Joe Maddon is out as Cubs manager.

Theo Epstein and Joe Maddon met the media on Sunday and made the move official. Maddon’s contract runs out after 2019 and the Cubs will be going in a different direction.

The Cubs made four straight postseason appearances under Maddon, the first time in franchise history.
