In 2020, Reese McGuire was arrested in Florida and charged with a misdemeanor count of indecent exposure in his car in a shopping center parking lot near the Toronto Blue Jays spring training site. It sure did sound like Cubs analyst Jim Deshaies made a reference to McGuire’s past during the team’s eighth-inning rally against the Phillies Tuesday night. McGuire doubled to right-center field, driving in Nico Hoerner and then the Cubs catcher came around to score on Kyle Tucker’s RBI-single.
