The 2022 MLB season is here and for Cubs fans it’s the first time in a while that you can’t begin the year expecting to watch a playoff team. Even with the pessimism entering 2021, you at least had the core guys that you were mostly willing to give one more shot at making a run.
This year? There’s a lot of unknown, but in that could come some surprises. However, you can’t argue that there’s still bitterness among the fan base following the dismantling of the core and while there were a couple big signings in the offseason it left you wanting a little more. The Cubs are projected to finish third in the division behind the Cardinals and Brewers and at best we’re thinking a .500 team that possibly hangs around the third Wild Card spot.

Other than that we kinda just have to sit back and see what these guys can do. A whole bunch of new faces are going to be at Wrigley this year and hopefully a few of them prove that they deserve to stick around.
