Even though this championship tattoo is brand new, Baez is not new to the tattoo game. I’ll be honest, I haven’t seen every single Cubs players entire collection of tattoos but from what I have seen, Baez has to be the most tatted up Cub.

Couldn't see cause the flashhh but 😬😬😬😬 #JB9 #ElMago

The tattoo you don’t see from the picture above, however, is still my favorite Baez tattoo (even better than the World Series tattoo.) Baez got his first tattoo at the age of 16 by a high school classmate’s father in his native Puerto Rico. The small tattoo is of the MLB logo which Baez said he and his two brothers got for a very specific reason.

“We did it as a sign of respect and love for the game.”

Baez already has more than a dozen tattoos but still found room for his newest creation. His new World Series tattoo sits on his left shoulder as a reminder of the Cubs magical run this past fall and as a Cubs fan I’d like to add that I hope he left room on his arm for a potential repeat tattoo in the near future.
