Cubs Officially Hire David Ross As Manager, 3-Year Deal

It’s official, the Cubs have hired David Ross as their new manager, replacing Joe Maddon. Ross, 42, retired after the 2016 season and has been working as an analyst for ESPN, while also serving as a special assistant in the Cubs front office.

The Cubs will have a press conference on Monday to introduce Ross as their new manager. Ross is signed through 2022, while the Cubs have a club option for 2023.
