Well, this isn’t great.
The Cubs just can’t ever seem to be 100% healthy this season, as Ben Zobrist and Willson Contreras are back, but now Javier Báez and Kris Bryant are dealing with injuries. Báez is missing his second straight game after jamming his thumb on a slide and Bryant has been scratched from Tuesday night’s lineup.
Ever since he came out against the Giants in July with a sore knee Bryant has been pretty bad despite hitting some big home runs.
Here’s the new lineup against the Mariners, with Ian Happ filling in for Bryant at third.
