Chicago Cubs Starter Cade Horton Leaves Start in Second Inning

-

I cannot emphasize this enough. This fucking sucks. Chicago Cubs starter Cade Horton left Friday’s game in the second inning after throwing a fastball to Bo Naylor. He immediately looked into the dugout, and after a short conversation on the mound Horton walked off the field, went into the dugout and went straight to the clubhouse.

Horton’s last pitch was at 93.8 mph, a few ticks lower. You obviously fear the worst and seeing that Horton had tears in his eyes doesn’t make you feel like this will be a minor issue.

FUCK!

The Cubs said Horton left the game because of right forearm discomfort.

Still not out of the weeds. Horton had Tommy John surgery back in 2021, when he was at Oklahoma.
