Duncan Keith Hits 500 Points With The Blackhawks With Assist On Patrick Kane’s Goal

-

The Chicago Blackhawks took a 2-0 lead in the first period against the St. Louis Blues courtesy of a nifty short-side snipe from Patrick Kane. But it was partially setup by Duncan Keith, who achieved an incredible milestone with the helper.

Keith’s assist gives him 500 total points in his 12th season with the Blackhawks.

Keith now has 42 total points and 37 assists during the 2016-17 season, good for fifth on the team.

The Hawks have jumped out to an early lead over their arch rivals. Jonathan Toews got the scoring started just four minutes into the game off a dazzling feed from Nick Schmaltz. Keith’s assist was in Chicago’s end of the ice, as he backhanded the puck to Kane, who skated up ice before a give-and-go between him and Toews led to the snipe.

The Blackhawks currently lead St. Louis, 2-1 late in the first period.
