Everybody assumed the Green Bay Packers were going to pick up right where they left off last year. They’d win 12-13 games, clinch the #1 seed in the NFC, and being favorites for the Super Bowl. Well, Packers fans have gotten a rude wake-up call. Things seemed back on track after winning three straight over the Bears, Buccaneers, and Patriots. Then things went sideways. They lost to the New York Giants in London, which was a grievous shock. Still, no matter. They’d just right themselves back at home against the New York Jets.
Boy were they in for a shock. The supposed “get right” game they were expecting turned into an outright beatdown as Green Bay was smothered for 60 minutes. Aaron Rodgers and the offense scored only 10 points as the QB was sacked four times. New York scored 24 points in the second half en route to a 27-10 drubbing. As if that weren’t bad enough, Jets rookie cornerback Sauce Gardner put the icing on the cake by parading around Lambeau Field in a cheesehead after the final whistle.
New York Jets offer hope for the Bears.
The game was such a shock because the Jets have been a terrible team for the past few years. They haven’t had a winning season since 2015. Even at 3-2, nobody expected them to give Green Bay much of a game. However, the performance was a culmination of the work done by their new front office and coaching staff over the past two years rebuilding the roster. That should give Bears fans an idea of what Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus are hoping to achieve in the near future.
It will take time. Several of the biggest contributors to that blowout were acquired by the Jets two years ago. Their maturation and development led to this moment. It was all part of the plan. Poles aims to follow the same blueprint. Build through the draft, develop your own talent, and create an extended window of success. It will take time. Ryan Pace left behind a big mess to clean up. The New York Jets understand. It took them four years to dig out of their hole.

Tom waddle needs a snickers
And. Rodgers has not thrown for more than 255 yards this season. Think about that stat because that’s all that Rodgers does.
I thought beating the packers at lambeau on favre’s jersey retirement night was pretty sweet Tom Waddle
Yada Yada. You seem like a mad person. I'll invite you to my next cookout.
Although he's skinny and needs to put on more muscle Sauce Gardner is a straight SAVAGE. 😄
