Tarik Cohen Reveals Which Bears Uniforms He Wants Brought Back

-

The Chicago Bears uniforms machine is expected to unveil a new twist in 2019. This as part of their 100th anniversary. Team chairman George McCaskey has remained tightlipped on exactly what they will be. He’s only said it will be an updated version of an old “classic” of some kind. That can mean just about anything. One thing is clear though. Tarik Cohen has another dream in mind.

One uniform variation they haven’t worn since 2009 was their all-white version. A style that some affectionately called the “Storm Troopers.” It appears the Miami Dolphins are planning to bring back their own variation of that for this season. When Cohen found out, he let it be known that he would dearly love a chance to do the same in Chicago.

Tarik Cohen may be onto something with this request

It’s uncertain the reason Cohen is so fixated on those uniforms. Maybe he just likes the look. Or maybe he’s seen that the all-Navy ones the Bears have worn the past couple of years did not deliver results on the scoreboard they were hoping for. Chicago is actually winless in those uniforms. The all-white though? They’ve had considerably more success in them.

From 2006 to 2008, the last period they wore them, the Bears went 5-5. All things considered, that’s not bad for a road record. Cohen is unlikely to get his wish this year, but if he continues to pester the team brass long enough, they may pencil it in for 2020 assuming this new “classic” reboot isn’t received wel.
