One Bears Draft Possibility At No. 10 That’s Flying Under The Radar

-

The 2025 NFL Draft is just a couple of weeks away. All the preparation, speculation, and mock drafts will finally be put to the test on April 24. The Chicago Bears, who hold the 10th overall pick, have kept everyone guessing about their plans. Many expect them to go with the best player available—possibly Tyler Warren, Ashton Jeanty, or Will Campbell—if any of them are still on the board.

But what if all three are gone? What if the top options in the trenches don’t appeal to them, and their highest-graded player is actually a cornerback?

They have no shot at landing Travis Hunter, but what if Michigan’s Will Johnson or Texas’ Jahdae Barron is still available at No. 10? Could Ryan Poles really pull the trigger on a cornerback that high?

Will Johnson Could Be A Star

I believe it’s a real possibility—especially with Michigan’s Will Johnson. He’s CB2 on my board and a top-20 overall prospect. At 6’2″, he has ideal size and would likely be a Day 1 starter. That could push Tyrique Stevenson down the depth chart, possibly into a less prevalent role, which might suit him better as his game continues to grow.

Pairing Will Johnson with Jaylon Johnson could give the Bears a lethal cornerback duo for years to come. Add in Kyler Gordon in the slot, and this secondary could become one of the most dangerous units in the league.

I’m not saying this is the most likely scenario, but the way Ryan Poles has handled free agency and trades has left the door wide open. The Bears could go in several different directions come draft night—and cornerback shouldn’t be ruled out.

Well sally if you were allowed to comment on the Gridiron you could ask the same question and you would find out the truth. They have never once linked anything from mockery. I have never said I was leaving here. I mainly come to bitch slap you. You know nothing.

Yup, there is a 100% probability that faux-GM BJ picks a CB at 1.10, wink wink, nudge nudge. If any other team wants Johnson or Barron, they had better trade up ahead of CHI to get their guy. Hell, I imagine both CBs would be elite trade-up candidates for every single team that isn’t the Chicago Bears. Johnson and Barron are, by far, the two best prospects in this draft, according to everyone. And you can add the two safeties with first-round grades to that list as well, as both can play CB. Four defensive backs are going in the… Read more »

***RoosterRider***Ship him to rural Indiana or Missouri! Is a delusional lying authoritarian who is enamored with, and jealous of, me. He constantly criticizes TGena, Erik, and SM. But he is too addictively weak to leave this site even after promising to do so numerous times. ROAR! I seriously doubt that Wiltfong, a pro, said such derogatory things about SM. If so, then have him come to the site and repeat what he told you. You also tried to make it seem, so deceptively, he was personally using me as an example, when it is just you and your organized Hyenas.… Read more »

Hey sally if you cut and paste my response to gena and yourself it will be the first intelligent thing that you have ever stated on here. When you have nothing to add to a conversation then just post a bunch of music nonsense on a sports thread. My cats are smarter than you and my Rooster would have you for lunch.
