As we all know by now, the Chicago Bears have decided to part ways with Justin Fields. Fields was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday in exchange for a conditional 6th round pick. This trade has raised questions and will undoubtedly be discussed for at least a few more months, if not longer. However, in a recent interview, Fields took the chance to share a final message to the city of Chicago, and his former teammates.
“To the city of Chicago, my teammates, they know I love them. From day One I loved them.. Grateful for the fans sticking behind us, good season, bad season, good game, bad game, they always showed out.”
I’m unsure about the source of this video, which has gone viral on TikTok. It appears to be from Justin Fields time in Italy, as he has been sharing moments from his trip on Instagram over the past few days. He was recently at an event in Italy held at the same stadium shown in the video. We’ll share the complete video here once its origin is confirmed.

The Bears failed Fields and Fields deserved better. He deserved to have an actual group of competent receivers to throw to, and an offensive line that could create a pocket to pass from and hold it long enough for Fields to go through progressions while not having too do it while running for his life. Fields earned a year with the current roster, and if the Bears didn’t have a top 5 pick they would never have considered moving on from Fields. That in all the decades of NFL drafts, the Bears never drafted a QB good enough to be successful in the NFL (your claim), OR, that the Bears “universe”, including ownership, management, coaches, fans and media, combined, are hot mess for any QB to have success in? I mean if we’re being honest, it’s not like the Bears have consistently lined up a championship caliber team on an even semi-regular basis, and the one time in the past 40 years, they had the talent on the field to do it for 3 or 4 years… Read more »

The Bears have never failed a quarterback, they’ve failed to draft a good quarterback. Not a single quarterback they’ve drafted went on to have success elsewhere except for maybe Harbaugh for one season in Indy.
Well this is Ryan Poles first chance at a Qaurterback. So yes the bears as an Mckaskey organization have messed up QBs for a very long time. But this time there is something different. This is a great chance to see what Poles really is. And I feel the majority of bears fans feel pretty confident in giving him a chance to prove himself. If this works out He goes into Bears history as one of the best GMs we have ever had. If it doesn’t well he can join pace in Atlanta!
