Justin Fields Continues To Work With Polarizing QB

-

Justin Fields isn’t letting anything deviate him from his mission of getting better as a quarterback. That includes who he works out with and seeks advice from. Last year the Chicago Bears quarterback was spotted spending his summer in workout sessions with former Pro Bowler Deshaun Watson. This was when the man was embroiled in several civil lawsuits over alleged inappropriate sexual actions with two dozen masseuses.

Things haven’t gotten much better since then. Watson is still a figure of public discussion even as several of the suits were settled out of court. Expectations are he could endure a lengthy NFL suspension, perhaps for an entire season. It appears that hasn’t deterred other quarterbacks, including Fields, from continuing to work with him. He, along with Ohio State starter C.J. Stroud and rookie Malik Willis made the trip to Del Valle High School in Texas to work at former All-Pro receiver Chad Johnson’s event.

It seems his efforts to improve his footwork remain ongoing.

Justin Fields isn’t a judge and remains focused on football.

The reality is the Bears quarterback is operating under the “innocent until proven guilty” approach. Indeed, the details surrounding Watson don’t look great, but the fact is he hasn’t been charged with anything. His reputation might be stained, but the quarterback remains a free man, and that likely won’t change. He may or may not be a shady character, but he was also one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL before his extended hiatus.

There is no doubt Justin Fields can learn some crucial things from Watson, and he knows it. That is why taking another chance to work with him felt logical. Some people may not agree. In these situations, it might be better to distance oneself from such a radioactive topic. Fields doesn’t seem perturbed by the public perception. He and Watson aren’t the same person off the field. His decision to attend the camp was a football one—nothing more, nothing less.

Fields went to an event that was “sponsored by Chad Johnson.”He has no say or knowledge of who else would show up‼️

I guess writers just gotta have some copy pertaining to J. Fields, as if he went to a “DeShaun Watson” football camp‼️

Better than reports a couple months ago of Justin working with the Ultimate Team Cancer and garbage Human Being Krapernick. Watson at least is a good QB but he is also a Garbage Human Being.

Forever trying to tell black people who they should hangout with!! Watson hasn’t been convicted of any crime! And if he was such a terrible person please explain to me why he was never prosecuted!!! No one was trying to pick who should hangout with Ben Roethlisberger! How many times was he accused of sexual assault?? Sure it wasn’t nearly as many as Watson but he was definitely under serious investigations. Assault is assault no matter what race you are. And as you can see with Watson it was definitely all about a money grab as the majority of those… Read more »
