Former Player Declares Justin Fields Most “Dangerous” QB In NFL

-

The NFL is loaded with great young quarterbacks. Patrick Mahomes is the gold standard of this era. Josh Allen is right behind him, while Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Justin Herbert are putting themselves in the conversation. Tom Brady is still kicking around too. So there is lots of competition for respect in this league. That should give you an idea of what Justin Fields accomplished on Sunday when he has people raving about his emergence.

Maybe the hottest take came from former player Emmanuel Acho. The man isn’t afraid to have strong opinions on things. Unlike most, he makes sure to have visual evidence to back up those claims. After the Chicago Bears‘ 35-32 loss to Miami, he put together a presentation with a simple declaration.

Fields has become the most dangerous quarterback in the NFL. He is almost indefensible at this point, and it continues to show every week. No matter what defenses do, it doesn’t seem to matter.

Don’t believe him? Look at Justin Fields’ numbers.

Even the stat people don’t have a case to deny what Acho is saying. In the past five games, Fields has a 63.33 completion percentage for 851 yards passing, 8 TD passes, 2 INTs, and a 99.69 passer rating. He’s rushed for 286 yards, and 3 TD runs. Fans haven’t seen a stretch like this since Mitch Trubisky in early 2018, and Fields doesn’t have the solid offensive line or receiving weapons Mitch did. That makes what he’s doing even more impressive.

GM Ryan Poles now has a clear path forward. His job becomes infinitely easier knowing Justin Fields is indeed a franchise-caliber quarterback. Now the Bears can focus on stockpiling better blockers and wide receivers. Chase Claypool was a nice first step in that direction. More help will be coming next March and April. If Poles does his job well, it is scary how much better this QB will get.

More fun could be looming too. The Detroit Lions and their league-worst defense are up next. If Aaron Rodgers could gash them for 40 yards on four carries, there is no telling what Fields might do to them.

Fields is starting to make players around him a little better too. Even the ones who don’t have a high ceiling. They’ll be gone next year anyway. So if his play is elevating the current offensive players image what the offense can be when players start coming back for the ball or looking for an open space to go to when Fields needs help. Sky’s the limit with this guy if the GM does his job.

With all this being said just pray he doesn’t get hurt. I love the way Justin is coming along. Looking like a great future for our Bears. Just hope this all comes together for years to come. GO BEARS

Another analogy if you will…

Justin Fields and his current teammates are like Michael Jordan and his teammates circa 85′-87…

Fields is doing everything possible to win but has no supporting cast. Ryan Poles needs to find Justin’s “Pippen” and “Horace”…

Honestly… If JF consistently got better at every level he’s ever played at, why would you doubt the progression would follow him to this level? This kid wants to win, his desire, drive, work ethic, and flat-out devotion to being the best he could possibly become have been his calling card\MO. I get it, I’m a Bears fan too, I want our Bears to be one of the better teams instantly in the NFL but we have to let this play out and enjoy the ride!! This is a rebuild and the foundation is being built brick by brick… Most… Read more »

This is a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately league. They’re parading him on a “donkey” right now but as soon as he’s struggling, they’ll crucify him and put his feet over the coals.

That being said, Fields is looking more and more like the real deal. His numbers with THIS bunch of Div2 teammates?? Keep an eye on Ryan Poles, he seems to know what he’s doing…
